Humanities+ Faculty Fellows Workshop

May 9-12, 2023

The College of Humanities H+ Faculty Fellows Workshop helps faculty incorporate H+ principles and objectives in their teaching.

The H+ Faculty Fellows program makes faculty central to the mission of Humanities Plus by aligning their teaching and mentoring with the Humanities Competencies. The workshop will explore the question: In what ways and to what degree can my curriculum prepare my students for life after graduation? In the curricular context, this means integrating experiential learning literacy with the competencies of communication, information literacy, and cultural navigation. Participants will select a course they regularly teach and revise learning outcomes, assignments, and assessments according to the formula:
“ExL Literacy + Competencies=Readiness.”

Fellows will receive a $2,500 stipend upon completion of the program. Requirements include the following:

  1. Course selection and approval
  2. 4-day intensive workshop
  3. Teaching the revised course
  4. Outcomes report
